IDM - Firefox Integration issue

Post by coolheaded » Wed Jun 25, 2014 5:23 am

IDM doesn't takeover the downloads when Firefox/Firefox-based browsers like Palemoon are sandboxed.This issue was present in Windows 8.1,now it happens on Windows 7 -64 bit too.Firefox-IDM integration issue hasn't been fixed since v4. :( :( :(

To fix Chrome 37, add the following to your sandboxie.ini (or add them through SbieCtrl GUI)

OpenIpcPath=\BaseNamedObjects\FontCachePort
OpenIpcPath=\BaseNamedObjects\FntCache-*

Adding those two lines fixes crash but Chrome x64 looks like that:
Chrome 37.0.2062.3 dev-m (64-bit).jpg
37.0.2062.3 dev-m (64-bit)
Chrome 37.0.2062.3 dev-m (64-bit).jpg (150.92 KiB) Viewed 5693 times
(the same result is without those two lines when you run chrome using vista compatibility mode)

Chrome 37.0.2062.3 dev-m (64-bit)

That worked for me (Chrome 37.0.2054.3 beta-m). Thanks Curt.

Disabling hardware acceleration for Chrome x64 fixes this broken window I posted above. But Chrome x64 is completely unusable inside of sandboxie - still broken fonts on many pages (even with those two lines in sandboxie.ini), crashes when using google search via address bar etc. x64 Chrome is 'special one' :P

What web pages have broken fonts? Is anyone else still having problems?

This is so weird. I've done clean chrome install, clean profile. It seems sometimes x64 Chrome is installed, sometimes x86...
Hardware acceleration issue is Chrome x64 specific.
Curt@invincea wrote:What web pages have broken fonts?
If you lower rights via sandboxie GUI to non-admin, most of web pages don't display texts. It's both x86 and x64 Chrome problem

Most of websites, it would be easier to list which ones display right way.
http://www.purepc.pl/ for example works ok.

http://niebezpiecznik.pl/ http://pclab.pl/ http://www.sadistic.pl/ broken fonts - I don't see any text.

http://korwin-mikke.pl/ I see only headlines

http://www.yafud.pl/najnowsze/ Crash with an error message
