Sandboxie and Java Virus Threat

Post by nash008 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 4:25 pm

Will running Firefox within Sandboxie restrict the threat of the new round of Java viruses to within the sandbox only, or can my PC become infected also?

Sandboxie will protect the PC as Java runs sandboxed.

Hi Buster

Getting Java stuff to run sanboxed has always been a challenge. What do you do to get it run.

Peter, when I had Java, I remember java.exe had to be allowed Start/Run and Internet access in a restricted sandbox. In a default sandbox it would run without having to do nothing. Its been more than three years since I used Java but that's how it was for me.
