I'm a new user so show mercy please!

Hello:

I've installed the free version W7 64 bit with the 64 bit experimental component.

I have IE 9 working in one Sandboxie and MS Outlook 2010 in another.

However I also deleted the default sandbox after using it to create the first 2!

Have I screwed up ? Do I need to reinstall?

What is the main advantage of the paid version?
Regards

It's not clear to me from your post if you have a specific problem or just asking if what you did is ok. Can you please clarify?

If you mean you used "Remove Sandbox" to remove "DefaultBox" from the list of available sandboxes, then to me there was no reason to do so. Having DefaultBox, or not having it, has nothing to do with creating other sandboxes. I seldom use DefaultBox, but I leave it in the list of available sandboxes for occasional use.

There have been problems in the past where Sandboxie expected that DefaultBox exists. I'm not sure if that has been completely fixed, but it's easy enough to recreate DefaultBox using: Sandboxie Control > Sandbox > Create New Sandbox > DefaultBox
If all you did was to Delete Contents of DefaultBox, then there's nothing to worry about. It still exists.

No.

Using multiple sandboxes at the same time, in my view. The other advantage is being able to force specific .exe programs to always start sandboxed, unless you temporarily turn off forcing.

I wanted to know if the deletion on Default box was okay.

Thanks for replying

Why not just leave it. I have it setup to use for things I move to the Desktop, but aren't sure about running. In this Sandbox, I allow anything to run, but allow nothing internet access.

Unless something complains about it being missing, don't worry about it. Or, recreate it as I mentioned above.
