Fixed. Unsigned driver got into the 64 bit installer somehow. Please get the latest. Thanks.

Cannot install sbie 5.01.2 to update my 5.01.1 on my Win 7 SP1 64-bit.
Installation process was good and completed until asked to load the sbie driver and then this sbie message popped out :

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.2)
Just upgraded from 5.01.1 to 5.01.2 running the latest Windows 10.0 Build 10240
Sandboxie Control shows a blinking !
Right mouse and selected show errors lists:
SBIE1102 Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) unloading
SBIE9234 Service startup error level 9153 status=C0000428 error=-1073740760
SBIE9234 Service startup error level 9153 status=C0000428 error=-1073740760
SBIE9234 Service startup error level 9153 status=C0000428 error=-1073740760
SBIE2331 Service start failed: [22 / 5] Access is denied.
Restarted didn't help.
Uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled and received the same error.
Then Windows 10 displayed the following:
Program Compatibility Assistant
Sandboxie Kernel Mode Driver
Sondboxie Holdings, LLC
Windows blocked the installation of a digitally unsigned
driver. Uninstall the program or device that uses the driver
and check the publisher's website for a digitally signed
version of the driver. With a close button.
Dropped back to 5.01.1

Try the new combined installer. It worked for me. The only odd thing I see is that the version number is now 5.01.3.Peter2150 wrote:I re downloaded after you posted this Curt. Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.2)
Ok, please give it another try. Everything should be on the website properly now.
Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.2)
Yes, Curt, just downloaded the installer files again from the first page and now sbie 5.01.2 installed okay and sbie driver properly loaded, showing as version 5.01.2.Curt@invincea wrote:Ok, please give it another try. Everything should be on the website properly now.
Running it now on my Win 7 SP1 64-bit.
Thanks for quick fix !

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01)
Same problem with 5.01.2, after deleting contents, terminating all programs and exiting program. Can't uninstall or install (even last stable version).paulderdash wrote:I kept getting the attached messages, with installer hanging at that point ... I tried disabling all security software but same issue recurred.Curt@invincea wrote:Are you saying the installer just hangs? If it can't replace files because they are in use, it will retry several times and then popup a dialog box that says files are in use and the install can't continue.paulderdash wrote:I am running (unregistered) SBIE 4.20 on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit and am unable to install this beta. I have also tried running as admin ...
It seems to get stuck around the 'LICENSE.TXT' process ... is this beta working only for registered users?
Edit: I also tried uninstalling 4.20 first ...
I eventually succeeded by uninstalling SBIE 4.20 AND removing config / .ini file ? (which I hadn't done before - it asks yes or no). With that removed, install worked.
Seems to repeatedly be trying to do something with license.txt, then aborts.
Uninstalled in safe mode, and tried installing but service does not install in safe mode.
Then completely uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller; got the message 'RegDeleteKey (Driverkey): Access is denied . (5)' but install then worked.
