I'm also having a problem using Sandboxie with Directory Opus, but my SBIE2203 error is slightly different than the one cocoon posted...

cocoon's error...
"SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_00000001 - dopus.exe [C0000024]"

my error...
"SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_0000000A - dopus.exe [C0000024]"

In my case I'm unable to maneuver the mouse to certain areas of the Opus window at all. It vanishes and reappears in another area. I don't use Windows Explorer at all... haven't for years and this is the only problem I've ever encountered. I'm hoping this gets fixed but in the meantime Is there a way to at least tell Sandboxie to use Windows Explorer? Thanks.

Hello 65Cobra427SC,

I have installed Directory Opus 12 on Windows 10 x64 and set it as my default file explorer.
I see the error, using the "hide" button does the trick to avoid it.
Regarding the mouse, are you using a DPI scaling over 100% ? I switched from 125% (where I saw the issue) to 100% and I am not experiencing the problem anymore (you will need to sign out and back to fully apply the changes).

You can try this in order to force Explorer to work in the Sandbox:
Right click on your sandbox --> Sandbox Settings
Resource Access --> IPC Access
Blocked Access
Hit Add and paste this
*\BaseNamedObjects*\DOpus*
Apply and okay your way out.

In Sandboxie Control:
Configure--> Reload configuration
Empty the contents of your Sandbox and try launching a directory.

Regards,
Barb.-

Yes, my dpi scaling is 200% due to the 4K monitor I'm using. I could lower it some but reducing it to 100% is out of the question. However I did use your instructions to force Windows Explorer in the Sandbox and it works fine. Although I much prefer Directory Opus, I can live with this until (hopefully) this gets fixed.

Thank you for the quick reply and covering all bases.
