Not sure if this is something that is still being considered or looked at but just a friendly reminder that some games still have issues where they randomly close after a few seconds without any errors.

If you mean Steam? We can only look at games when crash/dump files are posted. Some games may not work. Unfortunately, we don't have free access to Steam's vast catalog (not to mention the vast number of hardware/software combinations in the wild).dinks wrote:Not sure if this is something that is still being considered or looked at but just a friendly reminder that some games still have issues where they randomly close after a few seconds without any errors.

It's very bizarre and I'm not sure how else to explain it. I have none of these problems when Firefox is not sandboxed.
Hi all, i can confirm that i have the same problem, there is a sort of FF freezing sometimes, only when it's sandboxed. When i open a tab, or scrolling a page, or sometimes whern typing a text like this one, it can freezes for 1 second or 2. I thought it was a FF plugin problem, or profile problem, so i tried to clean profile by removing crap (old unnecessary files in profile folder), and freezes are less frequent, but still there. So i tried to create a new profile with FF command line -p but it was already freezing in the profiles window choosing box...Craig@Invincea wrote:We've not been able to reproduce that, nor have we had any other reports of this.
Just for info, i'm on W10 x64 Pro, with ESET SS 8.

problem only games from the valve on the engine source + windows 10 (counter strike source (go), team fortress 2, left 4 dead 1,2 and other Games using Source), working without problem on win8.1x64.Craig@Invincea wrote:If you mean Steam? We will def keep looking into it as we update SBIE.
Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)
I second that. most browsers don't work well, starts with delay, feels clunky, ect - Latest IE, Opera, firefox, chrome. Only thing that works neary perfect on my computer is chrome v44.Show_me_your_tithes wrote:There is still something wrong with Firefox in Sandboxie, at least on my PC. There definitely is a delay and glitches sandboxed vs not. All these browsers work perfectly not sandboxed.
I know it's still in beta, but there are bunch of glitches and crashes here and there. It's a bit frustrating to hear "We've not been able to reproduce that, nor have we had any other reports of this." I mean, if it works on your (test) computer, but it doesn't on people's computers, are you saying it's our fault? Are we supposed to have everything on default and no extensions with clean installed windows? Would you mind giving us your computer specs and settings, so we can reproduce how your computer performs?
sorry, but it's almost starting to sound like Nvidia Driver Forum.
win10 x64, SBIE 5.05.1
PS, kinda getting tired of coming back here frequently to check for new updates that don't fix the "not able to reproduce" problems. should've never updated to win10. was perfectly happy with win7 and sbie 4.20.

Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)
We have not noticed any of this in our testing. If we can't reproduce what you may have encountered, then we simply cannot. If you have more info (error messages, crash info, etc..etc) that helps.
We test core functionality. We can't possible test every-single browser addon or extension. We can say, the browser works.
SBIE v5.04 is no longer in Beta. It's the stable release that replaced v4.20.
Like any major upgrades (especially when you're dealing with a major OS upgrade) you should be mindful of any issues that may arise. We have SEVERAL HUNDRED THOUSAND of SBIE downloads in the past 9 months, and a few reported issues. Metric wise, given the amount of users that have downloaded and installed SBIE vs what we see here in the forum, we are way ahead of the game.
We try address general problems. We won't address individucal issues. If we see a reported pattern, then we have to look at it. Plus, per the ToS, Technical Support is not provided on SBIE (paid or free version http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?RegisterSandboxie 7th bullet down).
We cannot guarantee everyone will have the same experience. That's impossible. I won't get into the hardware we use for testing, it varies and it's extensive. I can tell you we test with standard hardware the average user may have...your mileage may (and will) vary.
I can say that FF v.40.0.1 (including the beta channel) Chrome, Opera, Cyberfox, IE all function. Again, your mileage may vary.
If you want product updates (like a lot of products) it's best to check the source for any and all information about any product you may use.

Tested FF in Vista running current SBIE. No issues as you can see with the image. Surfing was just fine. Only AV is Defender. FF is barebones. 41.0.1
Could you reproduce this problem? Reverted back to 5.04.

Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)
Thanks for testing. Reinstalled beta 5.05.1 and ran a sandboxed safe mode-Firefox 41.0.1 succesfully. Could not sandbox Firefox 41.0.1 normal mode. Disabled several addons and Ghostery seems to be the problem. After disabling Ghostery and re-enabling again I now can sandbox Firefox 41.0.1 with all addons enabled.Craig@Invincea wrote:Tested FF in Vista running current SBIE. Yes, a good test is to try your browser w/o any add-ons, then go through and see.
Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)
Getting error for everything I try to run in a sandbox: SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Sandboxie 5.05.1 beta (5.0.4 does the same)
All programs tried lead to same error (Chrome 45 default browser)
AV: Bitdefender Free 1.0.21.1099 both with and without shield and scan disabled. Have installed Sandboxie both with and without shield and scan disabled as well.
Anything else I should try?

Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)
Yes, remove BitDefender. Until Yesterday, the free version wasn't even compatible with Win 10. It's not known to work with SBIE and Win10. See the sticky here about Win10 and A/V programs.http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=21539
