Installing a program in the Sandbox. [SOLVED]

Hi folks,

I would like to download a program then install it in the sandbox, do a virus scan with AVAST to make sure that everything is ok, then maybe later on do a normal install.

AM I right in thinking that for the most part, a Trojan or Virus isn't able to escape from the the sandbox, and doing a full scan of the installed program will (depending on antivirus and its detection ability) can usually detect a harmful program or not?

Also that any windows registry entries are also in the sandbos as well?

So in effect if running under Sandboxie and I decide to delete all files, everything within the box will be deleted including any registry entries?

Many thanks for any help.

Joe

When you delete the contents of a Sandbox, everything inside that sandbox is deleted. More info below:

Thank you very much for the links, Sandboxie does seem as if its pretty secure then.
