Quickrecover issues? (RESOLVED)

Post by Unknown_User_701 » Tue Apr 17, 2007 12:52 pm

I haver the latest version of sandboxie and it is registered. When I download files from my sandboxed browser, the quick recover always gives me the option to recover immediately.

But when I download files from my sandboxed mail client, I don't always get the option to use quick recover.

Yes, I do like the quick recover option. I could livew without it, but it is a nice feature that does add value in my opinion.

My email client is outlook express.

Wouldnt you be able to fix the problem by just adding to your ini file, the path to where ever Outlook Express saves your emails?

Exactly what would this entry look like? Would this be to my sandboxie configuration file?

All you would need to add is this line (to your configuration)

RecoverFolder=pathtoyouremails

e.g
RecoverFolder=C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Mailbox\

only problem is i dont know where Outlook Express stores your email, (i use thunderbird) so im hoping you know where it is stored, if not i guess you could google it?

I did not yet try this solution as I already have in the recover folder part of the INI file where I am saving these files to (desktop).

So my dilemma is this:

1. When I save a file that I download from my browser to the desktop, the immediate recover function works.

2. When I save a file from outlook express to the desktop, the immediate recover function does not work.

Shouldn't sandboxie be checking the desktop folder for immediate recover regardless?

No major problem though. Immediate recover is a nice feature but not critical to me. But I did want to pass on that this new feature appears to not be fully functional on my PC.

I tried this and it works for me with version 2.86. But I did make some tweaks to Immediate Recovery since version 2.58.8, so try the newer version and let's see if it makes things better.
