Automatically run all open programs in sandbox?

Post by q5 » Wed Sep 29, 2010 9:18 pm

I was wondering if it was possible to have sandboxie automatically sandbox all opened programs. I have been looking in the settings and couldn't find much. If you know whether or not this is possible please tell!

Thanks,

Well, you could always use a wildcard (*) in the Forced Programs pane of the sandbox settings. However this can be quite unstable, as Sandboxie will start sandboxing literally everything (new) that opens, including even your whole explorer instance. :P
Also you could try using the "Forced User" setting whenever it makes a comeback.

Copy below the line to notepad save as sandoxie.reg not sandboxie.txt double click from save location, you should now have 'Run Sandboxie Auto' I have UAC disable if you are running sandoxed you shouldn't be too worried about UAC.
-----------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\sandbox 2]
@="Run &Sandboxed &Auto"
"Icon"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Sandboxie\\Start.exe\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\sandbox 2\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Sandboxie\\Start.exe\" /box:DefaultBox \"%1\" %*"

When I open my computer and sandboxie, I first sandbox my WIRELESS BROADBAND MODEM before it connects, then open my BROWSER, then disable a program called KEYSCRAMBLER (which causes my browser to not allow me to type input if browser is sandboxed), then I reopen KEYSCRAMBLER within Sandboxie, which gives it functionality, and then I begin my browsing. I am using win 7 64bit.
I think Sandboxie is a tremendously meaningful and wonderful program and I deeply praise the developer and thank you for your goodness!
