Questions About Invincea Acquiring Sandboxie?

Post by ad18888 » Mon Dec 16, 2013 9:41 am

I am wondering what this means. First, will tzuk still develop Sandboxie? Second, will lifetime licenses already purchased still work? If tzuk could reply that would be great. Thanks for developing a great product for so long.

Regardless of where the chips may fall, it's been a fantastic run up to now with Sandboxie which will hopefully carry forward.

Tzuk deserves our thanks and admiration as well as the hard earned fruits of his labors.

You got it, Blues. Exactly my thoughts as well.
I hope tzuk stays on board. Sandboxie obviously is what it is today because of him. I dare say it could not/would not be the same without him, though I am bracing myself for that eventuality.
Congraqtulations, tzuk!
Hope to hear something definitive on grandfathered lifetime licenses.
My security setup: Sandboxie, and some other stuff.

Thank you very much guys! And obviously you all get my thanks for creating such a terrific community around Sandboxie.
I understand you have some questions but today we're excited to announce the transition, and we will have more details a bit later.
Thank you for your patience! :)

Reading between the lines, I feel that tzuk must
have driven a hard bargain in terms of upholding
the trust the sandboxie community has in him.
I can only see good things ahead.

Congratulations tzuk :D:D:D

Nothing lasts forever and a lot less good things, like Sandboxie. I believe anything that goes into a corporate realm (services or goods) are not as good as handcrafted things. What a shame.

Hopefully the lifetime license terms could be still respected.

Hmmmh, hard to say much without knowing better.

I remember when Symantec acquisited Sygate and killed the firewall.. The firewall had a large loyal user base and an active forum. That forum was soon killed too and among it all of a knowledge base.
Sandboxie 4.15.1, TinyWall Windows firewall controller, AppGuard 4.1, Avast free, Firefox with NoScript, Chrome with uMatrix, keeping them updated, W7 64 bit, using standard user account

It might seem selfish but I don't see anything good in Sandboxie moving into corporate space. All our "end user" problems will most likely not be looked at anymore in favor of corporate features.

Again, another sold-out, another great app eaten by the corporation
enjoy your millions tsuk, goodbye sandboxie

Congrats Tzuk!!!

Probably the only concern all users here wanted to clarify is about the "Lifetime License" and future updates of sandboxie?!
