It may not be possible unless you technically 'guess folders' but maybe SandBoxie could show the files saved to the desktop in the sandbox.
I run the apps via Explore Contents menu and navigate to the c: pf folder and such to run the app.
I mean it should be fairly easy to show a desktop (listview) with the icons present which enables the user to doubleclick.
Iow somewhat smoothening sandboxie here and there would be nice

Maybe related to using mcafee but the lnk files in the sandbox or even when recovered never seem to work.
I haven't investigated it yet but i could if you like, currently i create shortcuts in the root of the specific folder by dragging the exe with the usual keys held.
(The shortcut mechanism Windows provides).
For some of the users it may be hard to determine what to execute directly.
Show a desktop
If I'm understanding you correctly, it can already do this. In Sandboxie Control choose Run Sandboxed -> Run From Start Menu, and then look under Desktop.Edwin Knoppert wrote:... maybe SandBoxie could show the files saved to the desktop in the sandbox.
When the link is recovered, it won't work because the link points to something like C:\Program Files\YourProgram\YourProgram.exe, but the path on the real system is of the form C:\Sandbox\Username\YourBoxName\drive\C\Program Files\YourProgram\YourProgram.exe.Edwin Knoppert wrote:Maybe related to using mcafee but the lnk files in the sandbox or even when recovered never seem to work.
Sandboxie can create the proper shortcuts for you on the real system. Go to Windows Shell Integration under the Configure menu in Sandboxie Control, then choose Add Shortcut Icons and follow the instructions. For help, see: http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ConfigureMenu#shell
You can also do this manually by creating a shortcut in the form of:
"C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:YourBoxName "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
Oh that menu i didn't try, it will help.
First of all i hope SandBoxie will smoothen its appearances for this somewhat more, it's rather "it works" and that's it.
(No complaining but suggestion)
A real iconized listview (silimar to a desktop) seems then easy to implement since the folders are known already.
( i program as well )
The lnk issue could be solved i suspect, now i understand, it simply recovers anything created on the known folders i guess but does not recognize the lnk as useful redirect(?)
Maybe lnk files on the desktop may get special treatment after all but... it would be much more friendly to abort this mechanism of sharing these files and introduce a better view on the known folders as i suggested earlier.
Differentiating these programs like that would be awesome imo.
Thanks.
