is the sandboxie bomb-proof?

Post by Securebrowser12 » Thu Jun 20, 2013 11:19 am

Hello,

I've been using Sandboxie for years and I'm very satisfied with that small programme.

I always run the Browser and the Emailprogramm in the Sandboxie and I'm considering at the moment if the Sandboxie protects from all kinds of drive-by downloads. I only mean the threat, when you surf the web an visit prepared/infected websites.

Can I rely 100% on the Sandboxie ?

Thanks Kai

You should define your concept of "bomb-proof".

The risk of getting struck by lightning is higher than the chance of getting a virus with Sandboxie. So, have you ever been struck by lightning?

Not many virus makers really care about dealing with Sandboxie or something similar in most cases the virus will just say it cannot be used in a sandbox with an error message and request the person run it outside the sandbox.

A lot of legitimate applications also ask to be run outside the sandbox and wont work otherwise.....
