Hi,
I have Sandboxie set to delete the contents of the Default Box every time I close the browser (Firefox on W10Pro). However, it takes the Default Box and changes the filename, but doesn't delete it. For example, the name is now changed to: __Delete_DefaultBox_01D2440934037A29. And my Sandbox folder is littered with these, one for every time I run Firefox with only the number changed. Am I missing something here, a setting I need to change? I can't believe this is normal behavior.

Hello em62,
What are your current settings? Can you manually delete the Sandbox contents?
Please provide the following information :
OS version (64 or 32? )
Sandboxie version
Any error messages triggered during the deletion.
Does the issue follow you to a new Sandbox?
Regards.-

Re: Delete Contents of Default Box
If I manually delete the contents, it does the same thing, takes DefaultBox and renames it to: __Delete_DefaultBox_01D2440934037A29. The number varies.
Window 10 Pro 64bit
Sandboxie 5.14
No error messages at any time.
After further testing, it appears it is something specific to this computer and external to Sandboxie. I created a new sandbox called Test with just the default configuration and get the same result. Installing on another computer the sandbox behaves as expected by deleting the sandbox completely. So, I will have figure out what on this computer is causing the problem.

Re: Delete Contents of Default Box
I seen that happens sometimes, usually with a sandbox that I dont set to delete automatically. The folder appears when I actually delete the sandbox. I never have more than one with the changed name since I routinely navigate inside the Sandbox folder in C drive. What I do when I see something like what you describe is to either run something in the sandbox and then try to delete the sandbox again. Or while navigating inside C>Sandbox, I just delete the folder with the funny name like deleting a regular folder.em62 wrote:Hi,

Re: Delete Contents of Default Box
Thank you for your replies. I get this folder whether I delete manually or automatically. The other day I looked in the Sandbox folder and found I had 95 of these __Delete_DefaultBox folders, which I then deleted through Windows. As I mentioned above, it seems specific to this computer and I will have to figure out what is preventing the full deletion.
