I have a machine using 64-bit Windows 7 Professional with IE 10 and the latest 64-bit Sandboxie installed. When I use the Command bar in IE for Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Reset button, does that have any effect on the protections in place currently while using Sandboxie? In other words, if I am running IE in Sandboxie and I click that Reset button and I do not close IE and wait for the sandbox to clear away, would I adversely (or otherwise) affect the Sandboxie protection?
The reason I am asking this question is that I have found that, by using these steps, I am able to "get around" a problem I have with not being able to make use of certain java controls on some websites. Strangely, when I use the Reset button as I described without removing the sandbox, I can then use Tools > Internet Options > Security tab, and in the middle section entitled "Security level for this zone" while the Internet Zone is selected above, I then see a slider control bar for low, medium and high, just above the box for "Enhanced Protected Mode". However, this slider control bar does not appear whenever I have first closed IE and allowed the sandbox to clear away. It is only there until I clear away the sandbox and start again.
Fortunately, when it is there, I can put that control to the medium position, and the javascript links that were failing to function become functional. Normally, I would have that control in the upper High position, which prohibits the functionality, but I was not aware of that problem because the control bar was missing, totally disappeared, after each restarting of the browser, which is when I would make use of Sandboxie normally.

The pen is mightier than the sword, but only if you get in the first stroke.
