Sanboxie kills MS Visual Studio .NET 2005 builds

I've found that installing Sandboxie breaks MS Visual Studio .NET 2005 unmanaged C++ build process. The error reported is PRJ0003 : Error spawning 'cl.exe' . I am NOT running the IDE or the compiler or anything else IN the sandbox - it's just sitting there.

The problem was somewhat hard to find because no error box comes out when building as a normal user. Build just fails with the error given above. An error dialog comes out from sandboxie only if building as administrator.

Uninstalling sandboxie fixed the problem. I don't know if just disabling the control applet would have sufficed.
