Hi, Ronen
Could you also add the "Sandbox Settings" when you right click on the Sandboxie system tray icon and go to the sandbox? So the settings are then accessible both through the Sandboxie control window and through the system tray icon.
Thank you.

I'm probably not going to add Sandbox Settings there because that menu is already packed with commands and I don't want to add more. And in particular, Sandbox Settings gets little use overall, even if on occasion you might want to use it a few times in a row. So the bottom line is, I don't think it belongs on that menu.

When I was still new to Sandboxie, I kept trying to get to the Sandbox Settings via the tray icon. To me, it seemed the most natural place to find it. It took a while, but I finally got used to right-clicking the sandbox, in Control's window, and accessing it that way.
Like SnD, I thought about requesting the menu item via the tray icon, but put it off.
I still think that for new users it would make sense if they could access it from the tray icon.

Fair enough, I can understand your reasoning for not wanting to add it there since there would then be 10 command options and could get a bit cluttered.tzuk wrote:I'm probably not going to add Sandbox Settings there because that menu is already packed with commands and I don't want to add more. Its important for the Sandbox Settings to be much more accessible however, instead of being buried were it is right now. It took me awhile to figure out where the settings were when I first started using the program. They are not the easiest to find.
I disagree that the settings get little use. When you are new to to the program you want to access the Sandbox Settings quite a bit to learn how things work and to try different configurations. I can see once you have used the program a long time your not going to use the settings much then, but in the beginning people have to access and configure the settings a lot, so its important that they are easy to access.
Might I instead suggest you add Sandbox Settings under the system tray icon inbetween "defaultbox" and "terminate all programs" and when there are multiple sandboxes just add a popup window to appear so you can select which sandbox settings you want to go into.
No, sorry. I did not reply because I explained my position already and did not wish to keep arguing the same point. But if I must then I will:
I can appreciate that at times you may find yourself using Sandbox Settings more frequently than other times. But on the whole, and considering everybody's usage pattern, I think Sandbox Settings gets very little use compared to things like Delete Sandbox and Quick Recover or even Disable Forced Programs.
I use Sandboxie all the time and I can tell you that I use Sandbox Settings once for every hundred times I use Delete Sandbox or Terminate Programs.
Sandbox Settings is generally a "set it and forget it" thing, even if some people like to toy with it more than that. It's ok: It isn't possible to cater 100% to everyone anyway, and things as they are now are already quite reasonable. A couple more clicks to get to Sandbox Settings is what I consider reasonable.
So final answer: It's isn't going to be on those menus, as they are meant for frequently-used commands.
