is bitdefender internet security 2017 compatible with SB?

i am using sandboxie 5.14 64bit

before i was using kaspersky internet security 2017. i had problems running chrome, firefox and IE sandboxed and only opera ran sandboxed. everything else was ok. i installed kasperky because my license is about to expire and i installed bitdefender internet security 2017

after i installed it sandboxie gave me a compatibility warning and said:-

BitDefender Total Security&Antivirus 2015/16

Problem: Sandboxie version 4+ and version 5+ is incompatible with BitDefender Antivirus to some small extent.
Solution: Adjust shield settings in BitDefender. Modules > Antivirus > click on the gear "icon" >GO to Active Threat Control > and move the slider to "Off" - Delete SBIE Sandbox Contents & relaunch the browser.

i tested my browsers sandboxed and i ran other programs sandboxed. all was ok

will i have any compatibility problems?

Compatibility can brake any time you update the antivirus, Windows or upgrade Sandboxie but I wouldn't worry about it. Whats important is that all is well at this time.

Hello, I followed all the tips, tricks and workaround mentioned in this forum and in the known incompatibility section . Nothing seems to work right... I also uninstalled sandboxie first and repaired BD then. Please give me a hint!

ingmannori, I believe the key to getting Bit defender to work with Sandboxie is to disable any kind of behavior monitoring feature or setting that comes with the antivirus. I think it used to be called "Active Threat Control". Perhaps Bit defender changed the name and the location of the setting but what Active Threat Control used to do is what you want to disable.
