I was just using sandbox like always and thought about the delete command i was using a program (acdsee) sandboxed and everytime i closed it the sandbox would delete (what i want it to do ) but sometimes working with acdsee (or other programs) i close it alot and everytime i reopen the program it has to remake the database files , sandbox has to remake the reg hive ..etc so its a bit slow..
now i was wondering if there could be some kind of delay after the program exits (like say user settable setting from instant to "x" minutes) that way you can keep working with the program without the sandbox being deleted every time it closed..
this would also be a nice feature for the "disabled forced programs" context item since right after you click it, it only allows one item to run (and usally if a item spawns off that it becomes sandboxed, for example a cdrom autorun.exe runs unsandboxed but then runs setup.exe and that becomes sandboxed even though disable forced programs was used since it re-enabled after autorun.exe was ran).
antivirus programs have a similar setting for example symantic antivirus if you right click on the shield icon and disable autoprotect it will show a big red X on the sheild (letting you know its disabled) then will automaticly re-enable in 30 minutes (or what you set it to in the settings).
here are some pictures of what i mean
after 30 minutes it will automaticly re-enable
some other optional ideas would be to have a option to keep the reghive but delete all the other files (this would be good if you needed to retain some kind of settings for a program that can take time to reconfigure for the paticular program (like a media player, settings regaurding playback, skins ..etc).)
just some ideas..
delete sandbox contents after x minutes (hours ..etc)
I second this request. My idea is to have an additional option in the "delete" settings. There could be the option to get a message-box which - when closing the sandbox - asks whether you want to delete the content of the box, yes or no. This would be convenient for me because I delete the content of the box after surfing the web in 90% of all cases, but not in 100%.
