Actually, you don't need to have flash installed as browsers like FF and chrome will use HTML 5 to render the page. Uninstalling flash is a fix you can try. .7 is not available as of yet.

Uninstalled Flash and now Firefox crashes immediately. I've tried the viewmanager.do_doublebuffering set to both true and false, didn't seem to matter.

The issue with double buffering / Font and flash issue are being looked at. But the work around we've seen in testing when It came to flash crashing was removing flash. However, there is still an issue w/ fonts displaying correctly. It's only in FF. It's not happening in Chrome, IE or Opera.

Hi there,

Firefox 39 immediately freezes when started inside a sandbox. Thunderbird works fine. Palemoon 64-bit works fine. Application is unresponsive and looks like is not processing its message pump.

Windows 10 Pro. Not OEM installation, vanilla one from MSDN.

I have tried running using different Sandboxie GUI options, start as default browser, from commandline Start.exe /box: etc.

It does not work.

Affects:
5.01.6
5.01.4
I tried also one of the earlier, but it did not work either

Minidump created with Process explorer:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=4 ... =file%2c7z

I have already sent this to your support email but they claim you only support Home edition, but I guess this is not the point here

Best regards

Thanks. We've tested v39 of FF. We are aware of some instances of crashes related to a flash issue. That has been addressed in the .7 release that is coming today. The "Home" is the flavor of Win 10 that is being pushed out as an upgrade to 7, 8.1 users at this time and the version we are currently working with....

And the day after tomorrow version 5.01.8 is available. Now I am sure that version 5.01.6 was the reason
that my PC was chrashed  But I have to say that the developers do their best to make sandboxie compatible
with OS window 10. If you know that if Microsoft launched W10 at the end of July adapt your programm before that time.

Now my free update to W10 has gone and I have to pay for a clear install  Can I charge your company
for this damage ?

You have a year from release for the free upgrade. Personally from testing the early builds, I would wait.

I have had that one but because of the crash of the PC the PC shop has to reinstall W10 and they don't do that for free
I made a joke in the USA you can go to court but not in the netherlands. I was to early with the upgrade other programms do have some problems too.

Have a nice day it's late now overhere bedtime.

Sbie has not caused any other PC's to "crash", as in destroying the OS so that it has to be reinstalled. Why do you think your machine was the only one affected this way?

Same here. 5.01.7 is looking good. Plugin container is not crashing, no need to disable anything.
