You guys have done really nice work fixing this issue. Thank you, Craig, Curt, rest of the team.Craig@Invincea wrote: Great. This is what the .7 release was to fix.
I didn't experience an issue in W7 when I tested flash in that computer with 5.01.6. But I don't require Flash much in that PC so I don't keep Flash installed in it. On the other hand, I use Flash a lot in my XP. For that PC, to workaround the plugin container crashing, I had to disable plugin container. I don't mid much doing that, I done it in the past but I feel a lot safer not doing it as not doing lets me restrict my everyday Firefox sandbox more (by mot allowing Flash to have internet access when its not required and having flash run separate from Firefox). This fix makes me very very happy.

Didn't check it in previous beta versions, I've just recently updated my OS to windows 10.
So I can't tell if it worked before.
Anyway it's great that the other apps work again!

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.7)
Can you provide any errors or crash info? Are you running any extensions / add ons? What is your homepage when you fire it up? We've have not seen anything in .7 & it's been tested and numerous reports indicate no problems at this time. Beta v40 of FF is not yet supported.zjaadc wrote:Update on Firefox 39 freezes under Win 10:

Its been stated that microsoft edge is not supported. You are going to have to change the default browser to use it. Second you should really show more appreciation to developers especially to the team of Sandboxie. I can't image the complexity of the software like this and they are doing everything they can to make stable products. Developing isn't an easy task, and if it wasn't for people like these you wouldn't have such quality products on the web that are available for FREE. Instead of insulting them show encouragement instead. They are trying their best for the users out there.albert17 wrote:Even after a new clean installation 5.01.7 does not load sandbox webbrowser.I use now Toolwiz Time Freeze 2016 that works ok with OS W10.You can delete my posts but I am sorry to tell you that you are losers

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.7)
A fair bit of success on my part.
Looks like sandboxie isn't playing nicely with Comodo. (This includes with comodo fully disabled but still installed)
Once comodo was uninstalled:
Running application normally still produces the invalid privileges errors below. I'm not sure why sandboxie cant/dosnt elevate its call to RpcSs Service
SBIE2337 Failed to start program: [44 / 740]
SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (740)
Running the applications as administrator works fine. I have tested this with chrome, IE, thunderbird, steam, a few games, evernote, java based apps
So issues found:
- Sandboxie dosnt/cant elevate the call to the RpcSs or the DcomLaunch unless the application is already elevated.
- Sandboxie dosnt work with Comodo internet security installed.
- Sandboxie dosnt work if Malwarebytes real time protection is enabled
- The issues with the above AV's causes the memory errors E5 and the dcom launch error -4
Hopefully this helps someone whos scratching there head wondering why this just isn't working.

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.7)
TonyF, there is still something not right on your machine. The Sbie services do not require elevation, and they do not need to be run as admin. What is your UAC setting? Is there some other security app installed on your machine? Do you have Windows set to only allow admins to start services or processes?
