I was wondering if you could add a feature like the quick recovery function but for files that get deleted in the sandbox, it shouldnt be hard (since it creates 0 byte files for every file that was deleted, so sb could just lookup them) so after all the programs close pop up a dialog like quick recovery and ask what files to delete off the system,
also when files or folders are in the direct / or full access section and you delete something, it doesnt get sent to the recycle bin (in the sandbox or normal, they just get removed) that might need to be fixed since sandboxie is supposed to protect files not loose them, again maybe some type of dialog box quick delete option for anything that gets deleted in sb.
this was just brought to my attention (was messing around with a duplicate finder so i was deleting things)
carry out delete option.
I don't like the idea of adding very specialized features. I think you should write a script or a small program to do that. There are a couple topics discussing the timestamp of these zero-length files so you can identify them.xellos wrote:I was wondering if you could add a feature like the quick recovery function but for files that get deleted in the sandbox, it shouldnt be hard (since it creates 0 byte files for every file that was deleted, so sb could just lookup them) so after all the programs close pop up a dialog like quick recovery and ask what files to delete off the system,
I can see your point, but the recycle bin is turned off for sandboxed programs for technical reasons rather than security concerns. In other words, the isolation prevents sandboxed programs from sending stuff to the recycle bin. So I'm not sure I can do anything about it.xellos wrote:also when files or folders are in the direct / or full access section and you delete something, it doesnt get sent to the recycle bin (in the sandbox or normal, they just get removed) that might need to be fixed since sandboxie is supposed to protect files not loose them, again maybe some type of dialog box quick delete option for anything that gets deleted in sb.
