How does Sandboxie know what my default browser is?

Hello, I know this is a little specific and I hope you don't get annoyed, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how Sandboxie knows my default browser? I am trying to do the same thing in my application but all I could find is this website: http://delphi.about.com/cs/adptips2004/ ... 0504_4.htm which finds what .html files are associated with in the registry. Oddly enough, they are associated with firefox on my computer but that key thinks it should be Internet Explorer. Do you have any advice? Thanks.

I think the program referenced in your link will return iexplorer.exe most of the time. Try using this key instead:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.html\OpenWithList

This should return the correct browser for the current user, rather than the system default. On my system subkey 'DefaultValue' is not set and subkey 'a' contains firefox.exe, which is my correct default browser.
