Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit)
Sandboxie 4.01.04 (64-Bit)

I instantly get the following error message when I start CDBurnerXP (4.5.1.3868 (64-Bit)) sandboxed:

cdbxpp.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I instantly get the following error message when I start DVDStyler (2.5 Beta 1 (32-Bit) (no 64-Bit available)) sandboxed:

DVDStyler.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000ba). Click OK to close the application

When I downgrade Sandboxie to 3.76 (64-Bit), I do not get these error messages and both programs run fine.

[EDIT]

Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit)
Sandboxie 4.01.06 (64-Bit)
CDBurnerXP 4.5.1.4003 (64-Bit)
DVDStyler 2.5 Beta 3 (32-Bit)

CDBurnerXP is still giving the same error as above; no change.

However, DVDStyler seems to be working in Sandboxie. The error above does not show now.

Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit)
Sandboxie 4.05.02 (64-Bit)
CDBurnerXP 4.5.2.4214 (64-Bit)

I still instantly get the following error message when I start CDBurnerXP sandboxed:

cdbxpp.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I saw the topic about AVAST and something similar to this, but I don't think this is the case as I do not have AVAST installed. Plus, I run a bunch of programs sandboxed, and this is the only program that is giving me issues like this.

You can download CDBurnerXP here:

http://www.cdburnerxp.se/en/download

Click the More Download Options link to get the 64-Bit version. Also, if you download the main one watch for the OpenCandy screens during the install if you do not want to install the OpenCandy things. Or, just use the Without OpenCandy option.

Thanks.

I wasn't able to see a problem with version 4.05.03 and CDBurnerXP. It installed into a sandbox and was able to run from it.
Perhaps you have a conflict with some other security software that is blocking cdbxpp.exe.

Hmmm,

Upgraded to Sandboxie 4.05.03 (64-Bit)

Still no go.

Rebooted (just in case), still no go

Deleted sandbox and reinstalled CDBurnerXP, still no go.

Rebooted again (just in case), still no go

Since you mentioned security software, I disabled AVG and Malwarebytes, still no go.

I've even tried unchecking the Drop Rights option, still no go.

Not sure what else to try. I'm running the default Sandboxie settings.

Where is your sandbox folder? If not the standard C:\Sandbox then try resetting it to the default.

It's at the default location:

C:\Sandbox\%USER%\%SANDBOX%

Alright. I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas. Probably some conflict with another software that you're running.

You can try to run a Resource Access Monitor to see if you identify DLLs that belong to other software.

You can also post the log here if you want and I'll take a look at it.

I upgraded to Sandboxie 4.05.06 (64 Bit) with CDBurnerXP 4.5.2.4214 installed. Finally, this application error with CDBurnerXP no longer displays. Looks like Sandboxie 4.05.06 fixed this issue. Thanks.

CDBurnerXP - SBIE2205: SHGetPropertyStoreForWind

Sandboxie 4.05.06 (64 Bit)
CDBurnerXP 4.5.2.4214 (64 Bit)

If you get this message with CDBurnerXP and Sandboxie:

SBIE2205 Service not implemented: SHGetPropertyStoreForWindow

Check that the following Sandboxie setting is enabled

Applications --> Miscellaneous
Permit programs to update jump lists in the Windows 7 taskbar

This should fix this message.

This was sent in a PM but I am taking the liberty to reproduce below.

Great! Probably related to this fix:
