There is a very small, simple program you can use for this purpose, and that is:
http://www.mitec.cz/wrr.html

Just use that program to open your reghive file, where you can then explore the registry keys, or you can even export the whole registry hive as a .reg file where you can then merge it with your real registry outside the sandbox.

viewing sandboxie reghives

hi! Thanks for the links...

I'm having some compatability issues with sandboxie, and also testing some tweaking software... wanting to see impact on registry, downloaded the viewer (and the batch reg comparison app, try that next)...

So I have a sandbox running, right now. Do I need to run WRR outside a sandbox? How do I export the reg hive files to view them, or can I view them in their running sandbox location?

Sorry, this is all very new to me!

Thank you

aha!

Scratch that! took off my foil hat, ran the standalone executable as an app, closed the sandbox, navigate to sandbox\user\box\reghive... ooooh!

Thanks MiTec (and you guys again for sharing)
