toolbar, icon

Post by Unknown_User_909 » Thu Aug 09, 2007 2:05 am

how about adding a toolbar in Sandboxie Control? the menus are ok, only if they dont have submenus.. toolbar will make it faster to access the functions.

also how bout adding the yellow icon (beside Run Sandboxed) when right clicking on a program.

Actually there used to be a toolbar, but it was discontinued in 2.80 (i think thats the correct version it was discontinued?)

I believe that this would require writing a shell extension, for Sandboxie. Right now, the "Run Sandboxed" command is a simple Registry addition at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\sandbox.

If some of the other requested enhancements are added to the program, a shell extension would likely be needed. I guess it all depends on perceived benefit vs. work required to implement.

Yep, thats correct, although, i remember him saying he was working on some kind of dll file and that he was going to use that dll file to store the icon (something like that), maybe he forgot, or maybe hes just saving it for when he rewrites the gui (which he has mentioned a few times)
