Error message: 'Cannot resolve shortcut object' What to do?

Post by Unknown_User_895 » Fri Aug 03, 2007 1:45 pm

I have just downloaded version 3.00.11 and registered and installed it. Unfortunately the first thing I got was an error message saying: 'Cannot resolve shortcut object'. If I clear this message and let Sandboxie start. I can't get IE Explorer to run Sand  boxed, although Google Earth works fine as does a couple of other programs I've tried. As I wanted Sandboxie for use with IE almost exclusively I need the problem sorted. I am running Vista Home Premium. Can someone help, please? If you require more system info let me know.

This may be something that the DefaultBrowser program can fix:

I think that program offers "Internet Explorer 6" as the only IE option, but it has been reported here, that it works fine even on IE 7 setups.

Yep, but still, even if the browser you do use isnt listed in that program, you'll still be fine, because it lets you select the path to the executable of the browser you do use.
