Buying Sandboxie: why a delievery-address?

Post by Eliott » Sat Oct 06, 2012 7:08 pm

Hi,

Why do I need to supply a delivery-address to purchase Sandboxie; what will be delivered?

Thank you,
Eliott

Nothing is physically delivered. I am not privy to the exact details of the fraud countermeasures employed by the web store, but I believe you are required to provide an address as part of those countermeasures.

I was about to purchase a copy of Sandboxie, but having to needlessly enter my street address..? I don't understand the point in this. The whole purpose of using Paypal is so I don't have to reveal this personal information to merchants. Isn't there another way I could order this?

What I do when I want to buy something on the internet is use the phone. When I purchased my SBIE license, I called the Cleverbrige office in Chicago and convinced the lady to get me approved over the phone. I am pretty good talking to people over the phone, Cleverbridge was flexible and approved my purchase.

You might want to try doing it like that.
