Open/Close units

Post by Buster » Tue Apr 22, 2008 10:38 pm

Hi.

I´ld like to ask as feature an option that denies sandboxed applications to open/close drive units.

Is it possible?

Many malwares play with the ejection of CDs. If you have a CD inside and it has an AUTORUN.INF it may lead to execute unsanboxed stuff.

I don't see this as a malware issue, because legitimate programs can also cause your CD drive to open or close. In any case the answer is no. If you have a registered version of Sandboxie, you can add your CD/DVD drive as a force folder. Otherwise -- don't leave untrusted CD/DVDs in the drive.

Actually, you can just do that now then, just set the cd drive as a ForceFolder.
