Sandboxie Quick Recovery Skip prompt

Post by Pete1 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:46 pm

Hi, I would like to use a program called Allplan on my computer. Allplan is a incredibly nasty architecture-program that puts
files everywhere on the pc - it just makes a mess. This program is for studying purposes and free for students (just to point out that this is legal).

Now, to stop this program of messing up my computer, I placed it in the sandbox - which worked great. However when saving a file, I would like Sandboxie to
remember this filetype and automatically recover it - without any prompt. Please tell me this is possible.

With kind regards

You can do what you want if you allow File Access > Direct Access to the folder that you use for downloads.

You can specify that files with a specific extension can be directly saved out of the sandbox without asking you.

Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Full Access (<- since the program is in a sandbox, Full Access)
"Add Program" button: Either add a program's .exe name, or leave it set to All Programs.
"Edit/Add" button: *.xxx
where xxx is the file extension that is used by the file(s).
OK

Or limit it to a specific folder:
"Edit/Add" button: C:\MyFolder\*.xxx
