Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
When I try to watch a video, plugincontainer crashes. It happens on netflix, and for example in the video here: http://www.autoblog.it/post/296995/mai- ... demergenza . It doesn't happens on youtube, so I think it's a problem related with Flash.
It happens since I updated to FF 49. Firefox is 32 bit version. Sandboxie 5.12.

Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
As a workaround you can try disabling Protected mode in Flash.

Thank you bo for your reply.bo.elam wrote:As a workaround you can try disabling Protected mode in Flash.
I tried, it doesn't work. I'm not sure it's a problem related with flash, because it happens also with a new FF profile in another sandbox, in that case just starting firefox (strange because it doesn't have any add on). Moreover I don't think Netflix uses flash.
There is something else I can try? I.E. reinstalling FF or Sandboxie?
I'm sure it started with FF49. I'm still on Vista. Without sandboxie all works well.

FWIW ~ I viewed above video okay w/wo Flash 23.0.0.162 enabled.asdasdasd wrote:When I try to watch a video, plugincontainer crashes. Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
Try running Firefox in a new sandbox with default settings. You can also try disabling Harware acceleration in Firefox>Options>Advanced>General.asdasdasd wrote:I'm not sure it's a problem related with flash, because it happens also with a new FF profile in another sandbox, in that case just starting firefox (strange because it doesn't have any add on). Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
You should also update Firefox to 49.0.1. This past couple of months Firefox has been kind of crashy for many users (for different reasons). 49.0.1 might be the most stable version of Firefox since 48 came out. What antivirus are you using?asdasdasd wrote: It happens since I updated to FF 49. Firefox is 32 bit version. Sandboxie 5.12.

Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
I tried everithing you said, it doesn't help. Always SBIE2224
I use microsoft security essentials as antivirus. I also unistalled outpost firewall pro (since it's almost end of life) but it did'nt help.
With a new FF profile launched in a new sandbox (with default settings), plugincontainer crashes at the start, before charging the default FF page.
If I try to charge a random page, it crashes again.
That's strange because with my usual FF profile and usual sandbox it crashes only trying to watch some videos.
Usual FF profile in the new default sandbox crashes only on some videos like with the usual profile.

Next time you get the message, in the message, click copy contents to the clipboard and paste here.asdasdasd wrote:Always SBIE2224.
And, try uninstalling Firefox, make sure the Mozilla Firefox program folder and the 2 Firefox folders in AppData are deleted. After rebooting reinstall Firefox. Thats what I would try.

Here the message:
SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: plugin-container.exe
Later I'll try your other suggestions and let you know the results. Thanks for your help.

Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
Same problem here. plugin-container.exe from Fx 49 & 49.0.1 is crashing under Vista.
Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
It doesn't work. I didn't delete folders under "appdata", because there are my profiles in there, but i reinstalled Firefox deleting folders under "programs x86" ("Mozilla firefox" and "Mozilla Maintenance Service").bo.elam wrote: And, try uninstalling Firefox, make sure the Mozilla Firefox program folder and the 2 Firefox folders in AppData are deleted. After reading Weranki's post, I think the problem may be Vista (x64).

Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
It seems that the problem may actually be Vista. Could some dev verify this?
Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
No problems here with crashes, or watching the OP's video link.
Vista HP x86
SB 5.06
FF 49.01 (32bit)
Flash 23.0.0.162

Re: Firefox 49: plugincontainer crash
Having a similar issue on my end, I can't get any Flash videos to play in Firefox since upgrading to Firefox 49. All videos play fine when I don't run Firefox sandboxed.
Windows 7 HP 64 bit
SB 5.06 (upgraded to 5.16, and it doesn't fix the problem).
Firefox 49.0.2
Flash 23.0.0.205
I don't get any crashes, just nothing showing where a video is suppose to be.
Any ideas?
I tried creating a new sandbox (with default settings), and Flash videos still won't play inside of it.
