Can't start browsers in XP with MB Anti-Malware installed

Hi all. I have been using Sandboxie as my go-to method of protection for some years. The biggest problem I ever had with it wasn't something infecting my computer from a sandbox, but apparently creating another login account on my computer, somehow causing it to start logging me in as another user. It was only much later that I figured out what happened to all my settings; but that's another story ...

Recently, I installed Sandboxie on someone else's XP machine. It has plenty of RAM, and 2.8 GB free disk space (not a lot, I know). When I try to start MSIE, Firefox or Opera, all of them start to draw a window, and then crash. The windows disappear, and the programs terminate. I can run other applications fine, however. It seems as if it is attempting to connect to the 'Net that is the problem. All of these browsers run fine on their own. This is using XP SP3 Home. There is no antivirus software running on this computer, at this time. I am not aware of any behavior blockers installed, besides MB Anti-Malware. I had its file protection option disabled although it had previously been enabled (all during the trial), and exited the program; but it would not let the browsers start sandboxed. Only upon uninstalling and rebooting it would they start right.

Owing to the great popularity of MB AM, I urge you to contact them, to see if they can make an exception to allow your software to co-exist with theirs. They even promote your product on their page:

This happened with SBIE vers. 3.76. I hope this buys a lot of mustache cream.

I've been using Malwarebytes Pro (memory resident) with Sandboxie 3.76 and 4.01.xx for some time now, on XP Pro SP3.

The only problem I've had is with MBAM itself: namely, the Website Blocking feature takes too much cpu time if it's enabled. They have had similar reports from others and have advised me to uncheck the two Website Blocking items on the Protection tab.

I didn't know MalwareBytes had an article promoting use of Sandboxie on their web site. Very nice of them.

Do you mean uninstalling MalwareBytes or Sandboxie?

Using XP SP3 Home. Having a similar problem. Earlier today I uninstalled a free version of Malwarebytes that I had been using for a couple of years and reinstalled. MY MBAM program had been completely disabled by the FBI Moneypak virus (a really bad deal - was running Sandboxie with AVG 2013 enabled when it locked me up) and I figured that was the easiest and safest fix. BUT NOOOO!!! Now Sandboxie won't run IE - won't do anything. (Not entirely true - immediately after I uninstalled and reinstalled Sandboxie (which I did a couple of times after I started having problems with it) I got the 5 second countdown screen but got nothing after I clicked the button to continue after the countdown. After that initial countdown (immediately after the uninstall/reinstall) I get nothing. Like I said I did this a couple of times.)

Now, I'm no computer pro, but I gotta believe it's MBAM. But I've had a bad week and it all started after I got sucked into installing (and uninstalling and reinstalling) Adobe Reader XI (thought it was a X.xx upgrade). Let me tell you Adobe Reader XI won't read jackshit. To top it off on one of the AR reinstalls, I was so flustered I forgot to uncheck the piggyback box and got the Google toolbar (just what I need another f---ing toolbar) and Chrome. They are both gone now but it looks like so is Sandboxie. Any help??
