5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.04 RC)
Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.5)
Unfortunately on my system the beta (5.01.5) does not work. I did a complete reinstall (deleted sandboxie.ini too during uninstall) but so far the problem has remained the same. Please take a look at the video on my dropbox, it shows what happens if I try to run Firefox sandboxed: https://eu.storagemadeeasy.com/files/db ... 85df48.wmv Sandboxing other programs like Windows explorer works though. Any ideas what could be the reason for this?

using 5.01.5 Win 10 to sandbox Thunderbird. Thunderbird crashes out when trying to attach a file. Works fine outside the sandbox.
sometimes I get a SBIE1242 Monitor buffer overflow
other times it just crashes
the last entries in the log are
WinCls -------------------------------
WinCls O #0
WinCls O #32770
WinCls O Shell_TrayWnd
WinCls X Acrobat Instance Window Class
WinCls X acroT_win_6684_2825
WinCls X AdobeAcrobatSpeedLaunchCmdWnd
WinCls X AdobeReaderSpeedLaunchCmdWnd
WinCls X ApplicationManager_DesktopShellWindow
WinCls X JFWUI2
WinCls X Progman
WinCls X ThunderbirdMessageWindow

We've tested tbird w/ the lasted Beta and attaching documents of all typed. No reported crashes. Try clearing out your SB & how many programs are you running sandboxed?

What happens when you try to run FF by right clicking on it and selecting "run sandboxed"altae wrote:Unfortunately on my system the beta (5.01.5) does not work. Is FF installed WITHIN Sandboxie?

Java based application dont't work in the current build.
Windows 10 Professional EN-GB
Try these apps in the current beta,
installer works but on app start sandboxie silently crashes
CONTAIN JRE

JDK for simple Java Test

It's exactly the same behavior. And no, Firefix is not installed within Sandboxie.Craig@Invincea wrote:What happens when you try to run FF by right clicking on it and selecting "run sandboxed"

---------------------------
I deleted the contents before starting and no other program is running in the sandbox.
I run Listary and Evernote, but have closed them and it makes no difference.
just before crashing I can see dllhost.exe and 2 copies of acrord32.exe loading in the sandbox window.

acrord32.exe is Adobe acrobat. And SBIE is configured to use TBird? (under sandbox settings, email reader..?)mikeruss2 wrote:Postby Craig@Invincea » Wed Aug 05, 2015 1:41 pm

not sure what you mean, acrord32.exe is permitted in Restrictions/Start.run access

Ah, It seemed as if you were implying it was hanging up. Ok, if it's allowed. Good. I don't have an explanation on why TBird isn't working. I just started a fresh VM of Win 10 64 and 32bit, SBIE and Newerst TBird & Configured SBIE to use TBird as my mail reader. Works like a champ .mikeruss2 wrote:acrord32.exe is Adobe acrobat. I just wanted to add that I got sandboxie to work by disabling AVG.

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.5)
I am unable to install PornTime http://porntime.ws/setup.exe in a sandbox on a Windows 10 64-bit PC.
It used to work fine with Windows 8.1 (I used the latest stable version of Sandboxie). For Windows 10, I removed that completely and downloaded 5.01.4 beta and the installer failed to elevate.
With the new 5.01.5 beta, it does elevate, but then nothing happens. Also, Sandboxie Control shows that no processes are running in the sandbox any longer.
