Amusingly I have had success installing the DirectX 9 runtime ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... aspx?id=35 ) into a sandbox and have applications that depend on it run without problems (that I've found) inside that sandbox.Craig@Invincea wrote:DirectX is a driver, you can't install drives inside a SB. .Net should also not be installed in a SB. Ah, It's not actually the DirectX driver per se. It's just an update to the run-time. You still wouldn't be able to install and actual "driver" in SBIE.
SBIE will "see" video drivers if they are installed & present on the host (such as older DirectX, etc.) .......A little different in 10 however with the new version of DirectX.

Hey, one more issue...
I've just upgraded to 5.03.1 and that bunch of errors started to appear on startup. Tried clean reinstall, no avail.
Win8 x64, just installed fresh MS updates btw, perhaps that's the issue?

The Recent MS updates have been addressed. Have you tried "deleting contents" of your SB?johndoe2015 wrote:Hey, one more issue...

A remove / reinstall of SBIE by default may not do that.
Have you tried creating a new sandbox?

Still not working here. In fact this is the same behavior. I use this PC rarely so I haven't installed hardly anything so not sure what all has changed but something changed.Curt@invincea wrote:5.03.1 has been released.
Changing the default browser to Chrome or IE works fine. FF is the only one not working.
Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.02 RC)
Seems to be fixed now with Sandboxie 5.03.1 and Chrome 45.0.2454.93 m (64 bit).bdg2 wrote:There is a problem with Chrome 45 (64 bit) on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit which doesn't occur with V4.20.
When I start Chrome inside a SandBoxIE V5.02 RC sandbox and go to Virustotal.com check Choose File, choose a file and click Open the whole browser closes.

If you open a Windows Explorer window, and Enter:johndoe2015 wrote:I've just upgraded to 5.03.1 and that bunch of errors started to appear on startup. Tried clean reinstall, no avail.

%temp%
in the address box at the top, it should open your "temp" folder at:
C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Temp
If it doesn't then your Registry entry for the Temp variable may have been damaged:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment
Name: Temp
Data: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.03.1)
I'm getting the same temp problems as well.
When I navigate to windows explorer and enter in %temp%, it works perfectly.
This problem only surfaced when I updated my windows 10, and updated sandboxie to 5.03.1
