Recovering a program

Post by BOBORICOU » Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:25 am

Hi there,

My son wanted to install an on-line game client (World of Tanks) on his PC.

I said: "Son, we don't know if it's safe/stable, let's install it in the Sandbox"

Now we know it's safe, issue-free, I would like to "restore" the program in Windows.
We would like to avoid running an install as we would loose the game's history.
Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to look for all the files created by the software and recover them one by one (and what about the registry then?)

thanks in adavnce
What a nice program this is!

There's no easy way to do move an installation from the sandbox to outside.

And in case you haven't considered it -- you can probably just keep the game in the sandbox indefinitely.

Hi Tzuk, thanks for your quick reply.

Yes I suppose I could leave the game in the sandbox, and create another sandbox for surfing on the net which I could erase if needed.

Thanks again for the idea

Regards
Eric
