Hello,
if I try to send an PGP encrypted email with my sandboxed e-mail client (AK-Mail 4.01; uses PGP 2.6.3i for Win-32), I get the following error message:
DebugView from Sysinternals says:

Any idea?

Strange error. Since it seems there is an easy work around: Just restart your mail program unsandboxed when you need to send an encrypted message.

Jep, but I can't receive (decrypt) PGP encrypted emails, too.
I think it has to do with this old PGP 2.x (not GUI, but CLI) version.

@ oliver
hi
i don't know your security state so i only can say what i do.
i run an ipcop/copfilter firewall with three av-scanners (clamav, f-prot and avg) and additional spamfilter, ftp-filter and http-filter.
although i'm running my brwoser and my ftp-client sandboxed i see no need to run my mail client sandboxed too, especially because it's thebat! which does not use any microsoft wreckware to show even html mails.
so pgp encoding is no problem.
regards

Well, in any case, Oliver, if you still want to look into this, I suggest as a first step, run a trace:
Without FileTrace=i which usually just clutters up the trace;
and also PipeTrace=d which could add some useful stuff.
And if possible, show the trace for only the PGP process.

Hi tzuk,
I just ugraded to PGP 5.5.3i and it works perfectly.
Nevertheless I run the trace with run a trace with "FileTrace=ad" and "PipeTrace=ad" and there are some strange entries. I sent you the log, so you can take a look, if there could be something wrong with Sandboxie.
As said, my problem is solved with PGP 5.5.3i - thank you for Sandboxie!

I got your PM. It's strange. The error SBIE2306 should be issued very early in the life of the process. But the trace shows way too much activity. In any case, since you were in fact able to resolve it by upgrading, I'd much rather we leave it be, so I can concentrate on other stuff.

Yes, I think so, too! Thanx again!
