SANDBOXIE on a stick?

Post by Unknown_User_982 » Sat Jan 05, 2008 8:00 am

As a registered user I need to say I'm more than happy and satisfied with Sandboxie! To me Sandboxie is the most valuable program on my 'puter. I wonder if Sandboxie could be written to work independently on a stick drive? I immediately thought of this by reading this article in Reuters News: http://features.us.reuters.com/techlife ... ob Corkery

This may be of interest to you if you wish to run Sandboxie from a USB stick. Two limitations though are that you have to have Admin privileges to run it, and you cannot (according to the Sandboxie license agreement) register the program on PCs you don't own.

Thanks robotmike. Consider reading:

http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?PortableSandbox

It's a bit out of date. (For instance you no longer have to hand-edit the FileRootPath setting, you can use Sandboxie Control to "Set Container Folder" to drive P. This will make more sense after you read the page I've linked to.)
