My First try with Sandboxie , seem to have a problem with FF
Hi, I have just downloaded Sandboxie , no problems Ive just gone to sandboxie Control > Function > Run Sandbox > Default Browser which is Firefox ( portable )
When I click on Default Browasr, the Firefox page loads OK, but it shows
A completely new Firefox Browser page that’s not showing all the add ons
And themes ive installed on Firefox.
In the Sandbox Control when I click Default Browser, a file is shown
… firefox.exe
Any one know how I can get my normal Firefox page to start up when I click
The Default Browser setting in Sandboxie Control../
Thanks ….

welcome mypenry, like your motto. That is very doable - I don't use FF but many other seasoned, hardened, sandboxie members do. Sit tight, you'll be good to go. And again welcome

Hi mitchE323. Thanks again,
the File Copy Options DefaultBox , shows only one reference to Firefox
a check box at the bottom, it says this..
Allow Mozilla Firefox full access to the bookmark files
so ive ticked this box, but still the same problem ..?
or am I doing some thing wrong some where ..?
Many Thanks .... Mypenry

You say you're running FF portable? My guess is that the 'Run Default Browser' is starting firefox.exe. To correctly run FF Portable, you need to launch the browser via FirefoxPortable.exe.
Can you try right-clicking FirefoxPortable.exe and choose 'Run Sandboxed' and see if you have the same problem? I run FF Portable all the time without issue.

Thanks wraithdu , for the advice ....
as you can see I am a complete newbie to sandboxie so this question may sound dumb … at the moment my FF browser is running in sandboxie
And ive downloaded a pdf file ok and used the quick recovery default
Box to recover the file to the same folder OK, if I downloaded say an application
That contains a virus Etc, and I then wanted to recover it from Sandboxie
To my HDD, how would I know that the application locked inside Sandboxie
Contains a Virus..? have I missed some thing in my reading up on Sandboxie
Some where …?
Many Thanks mypenry
