I successfully installed Sandboxie Ver.2.86 on my HP Pavilion with Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2. I am using Mozilla Firefox Ver. 2.0.0.3 as my default Internet browser.
I am getting the following Sandboxie popup box:
<The Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) is not available to Sandbox programer.
Make sure the driver has started successfully.>
When I click on OK, I get a Sandboxie Contol window.
A new Sandboxie popup box shows and says:
<Please click OK to start the core component of Sandboxie.>
When I click OK, another Sandboxie popup box shows and says:
<Failed. Aborting operation. Click OK>
After clicking OK another Sandboxie popup box comes up saying:
<The Sandbox driver is not active in the system. Please try re-installing Sandboxie software.
If the software seems to be installed properly, you may want to look at the system log in the Event Viewer to investigate any failures the Sandbox driver may have reported during system start-up.
Sanboxie Control is termninating. Click OK.>
I uninstalled Sandboxie.
I then disabled all my anti-virus, anti adware and any other security devices and rebooted.
I then reinstalled Sandboxie and am getting the same messages.
Going to the Event Viewer System Log, the following are the Sandboxie reports:

This doesn't make sense to me. The only devices attached to my computer are printer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, wired router, and cable modem. All are working fine.
Can anyone provide some help. I hope Tzuk will get to read this. I have checked the forum and haven't been able to find this problem addressed.

Sandboxie driver not loading
Appreciate your response.
As indicated I had uninstalled Sandboxie and then disabled all security programs thinking they were preventing the driver from loading. Then made a new installation of Sandboxie.
Got the same results. But maybe disabling them is not enough because there may be registry entries left after uninstalling that would prevent Sandboxie from loading the driver.
I would hate to uninstall my security programs and then delete any registry references to them before trying again. Is there any fix around the Sbie 1116 limitation?

I know you did, but according to that faq as well as a few post made by Ronen in the past on the same issue, you have to not just uninstall Sandboxie, but also uninstall at least one of your security apps too, the reason why is because according to your event viewer, Sandboxie is having a problem registering a process notification routine on your pc, and the reason why is because the system will only register a limited number of these routines, so you have to first uninstall Sandboxie, and then atleast one (maybe more) of your security apps, to "make room" so to speak for Sandboxie, after you removed Sandboxie and 1 or more of your security apps, you can then install Sandboxie and it should be able to work correctly, after Sandboxie is installed and working on your pc, then you can put the other security app(s) back on your pc and everything will be running fine and youll have all your security apps including Sandboxie running on your pc. Hope this makes sense to you
