I cannot get v5.04 to install, it begins extraction and gets as far as LICENSE.TXT stops there for some time and then says that "Cannot create or update sandboxie program files"
This happened after downloading and attempting to install after closing all sandboxed programs. Rebooting did not fix it. I have shut down sandboxie which made no difference. I have checked the SHA-1 on the download, downloaded the x64 and checked the SHA-1 of that too with no success.
I do have a valid paid for license and have not had any problems before now.
Is this a common problem?

Re: 5.04 will not install
Run Process Explorer or something that shows open files. Search for open files containing the string "sandbox" in the path.

Its not a common problem but I know of one other user who experiences something similar to what you describe. When he runs a new version installer over the top, like you, he gets as far as LICENSE.TXT. Try figuring out the cause of the issue by following Curts advice. The guy with the similar issue is able to upgrade SBIE by uninstalling existing version, (and config file also), reboot, then installing new version.Red.Dwarf wrote: Is this a common problem?
