W10 Anniversary Updtae crashes flash player [MOVED]
Hi,
after Anniversary Update (version 1607) flash player crashes while activating webcam in a online cam chat.
Firefox 48.0 is running in sandboxie 5.13.5.
OS is W10 Pro 64bit.
Same Problem in older versions of firefox.
Same Problem in older versions of sandboxie.
Same Problem in Internetexplorer and MS Edge.
I went back to version 1511 and everything is running well again.
I will try again if new versions of sandboxie are developed

Edge is not supported in SBIE.
At this time, as flash is waning in ALL browsers, please use HTML5 sites.
In 32 bit mode, you can check and uncheck protected mode in the flash player.
There is no ETA otherwise.
The current SBIE beta supports the Win 10 Aniv update, but other things may / may not work. It may not be SBIE, it just may be the update. There are a lot of issues MS is reported.

This is often not possible if a site doesn't have a HTML5 version and many of them don't yet. I'm finding since my Win10 Anniversary Update that lots of sites I visit don't work in my sandboxed browser (IE) but they do work in un-sandboxed Internet Explorer.Craig@Invincea wrote:Edge is not supported in SBIE.

Please can you look into fixing this as I envisage Flash still being around for some time.

Hi,
I can confirm this problem.Sandboxed Firefox (48) does not play flash videos as it did before the update. Unsandboxed Firefox plays flash stuff flawlessly. Also sandboxed Opera works too. I'm only working with these two browsers so I can't speak for Edge.
Disabling protected mode (in about:config or mms.cfg) makes no difference.
Sandboxie: 5.13.5, 5.12 (64 bit)
OS: Win10 Home (64bit)

Yes, we are aware of this. There is no fix at this time nor an ETA. Avoid flash, use HTML5 pages if possible.

Any ETA on this yet please?

Re: W10 Anniversary Updtae crashes flash player
Actually, there is an odd workaround.
Create an odd number SB.. Such as FIREFOX. Try flash in that one. We think its a memory issue related to even named sandboxes.
Please let me know your results.
Otherwise, there is no ETA at the moment.
