Error msg when recovering Internet page saved with Firefox 2

Post by Paul_K » Tue Apr 17, 2007 6:00 pm

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3 and Sandboxie V 2.85. My browser is set to save all files to C:\FxDownloads. When I "Recover" downloaded files using Sandboxie, they are instantly moved out of the sandbox to the same folder - no problem

If I save an Internet page with Firefox's 'File/Save Page As' feature, I see something like this with Sandboxie's Restore:

C:\FxDownloads
My Yahoo.htm
My Yahoo_files
26.gif
30.gif
571062_040501_adbutton_03a.gif
(and so on, for a total 26 files)

If I click on Recover to same folder, Sandboxie tells me:
"Error Moving File or Folder"
"cannot move file: cannot read from the source file or disk"

I click OK

"Sandboxie Control" says:
"Recovery failed: could not move the item 26.gif out of the Sandbox"

Click OK again

When I look at C:\FxDownloads outside of the sandbox, the file it says it could not move actually was moved - along with all of the other files too. Another Recovery action in Sandboxie shows no files left to be recovered.
So it moved the files, but said that it couldn't.

I have done some editing of the sandboxie.ini file, so I hope I didn't screw something up, but moving downloaded files out of the sandbox works flawlessly for me. It's only the saved Internet pages that give me an error message.

Knowing how Windows works with files like this:
My Yahoo.htm
My Yahoo_files
If I move or delete the first file, Windows automatically moves or deletes the '_files' folder too. Maybe when the .htm file is moved, the _files file is automatically moved too? Then sandboxie tries to move the _files folder and it's not there?

Thanks, that really helped. I fixed Sandboxie Control so it won't move files that are no longer there.
