First let me say I love Sandboxie: I love Sandboxie

I use Sandboxie a lot to try programs before really installing them.
That is, install something in the sandbox, try it, and delete it or install outside the sandbox.
I use that method because I don't want any orphaned files or regkeys on my system, and I don't like the lot of uninstall managers since they all work the same: make system snapshot, install something, make another snapshot, compare changes. It's slow and I think that method sucks

Crossed my mind that Sandboxie holds the key to a more sophisticated uninstall manager.....
Sandboxie reroutes all write actions (be it in register or files) to a sandbox.
What if we don't reroute the write actions, but just record what happens?
That way there is a list of regkeys/files that have been changed by the installation process, maybe even a list of *what* was changed....
Or a snapshot could be taken of each file just before and after it changes, so that only files that are changed are in the snapshot, and not half your harddisk...
So basically instead of sandboxing an installation program to keep it inside the sandbox, one would sandbox the installation program just to monitor and track the actions it performs.....to be able rollback those changes later...
I would love such an uninstall feature/application.
Just think about it....and maybe make it happen?
