Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
Hello Everybody,
I have Sandboxie 4.14 64bit installed under Win7 and I recently upgraded from Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 to KIS 2015. From that day on I have problems with Firefox 31 (and 33) running sandboxed.
KIS 2015 complains "Cannot guarantee authenticity of the domain to which encrypted connection is established", "Reason: Unknown SSL error". See also the attached screenshot.
If I run FF outside Sandboxie everything is fine. I also disabled the the Kaspersky "Dangerous Website Blocker" extension inside Firefox, but I still get the same error. The screenshot is for http://www.google.com but the error also appears for other sites.
Any idea what's going on ?
Many thanks,
Axel

This will not unfortunately help you, but I am runing KIS 15.0.0.463(b) on Win 7 64bit with FF with no such issues. I have used FF33 & now FF34beta with v15. I don't use Anti-spam, Anti-banner or Safe Money addins though.

Can you load webpages fine when KIS is disabled? Do you have option 'check website certification' and 'scan ssl connections' in KIS enabled? Is it portable firefox? What addons do you use? Are you using some other program which may be involved in network and web-browsing , like Adguard?

Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
yes, if I disable my KIS 15.0.1.415(a) OR if I run Firefox 33.02 (standard US version) outside Sandboxie I don't get the KIS errors.
Where are the options 'check website certification' and 'scan ssl connections' ? I can't find them in the KIS settings
Also, while I could disable the Firefox extension "Dangerous Websites Blocker 4.5.0.311", I now noticed that there is also a Firefox plugin from KIS called "Content Blocker KAV 4.5.0.311". Although I unchecked "Automatically activate application plug-ins in all web browsers" within the KIS "Web Anti-Virus" settings, I cannot deactivate the plugin in Firefox. Its settings remain at "Always Activate". If someone could tell me how to deactivate that plugin, it might solve the problem.
Many thanks,
Axel

I'm having the same problem. On the Kaspersky forum there is thread dealing with this problem and the workaround is importing the certificate into Firefox.Axel wrote:Hello Everybody,

This works fine for normal Firefox but when using Sandboxie the import is lost when the web page is closed (sandboxie doing it's job).
Anyone that can help with this it would be most appreciated:-)

So import the cert outside Sandboxie.

Hello Axie,
(I am not native in English idiom)
I had exactly the same problem as described by you.
And the problem occurs when Web Anti Virus feature is enabled. You can check it by deactivating that in Kaspersky and try run Chrome inside Sandboxie.
But how to fix that? You should be asking yourself.
I solved this by putting a clause inside Web Antivirus feature, telling it not to check the address www.google.com.br (in my case is br, since I am from Brazil). To do that follow these steps:
1. Open Kaspersky Panel
2. Click over Settings (bottom left of the main window)
3. Click over Protection Tab
4. Find and click over Web Anti-Virus
5. A new Windows will open. Make sure to enable this feature sliding the green key at the right top of the windows
6. Click on Advanced Settings
7. Now you have to put the google address inside two links: The link Configure Exclusions and the link Configure Trusted Web Pages. But pay attention: here is a trick: you must remove http:// ou https:// from the address in order it can work. I suffered to find out that. Kaspersky seems to ignore the adress when you put the protocols before the address
I hope it can solve your issue the same way it solved to me.

Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
Hello, I have the same problem. Outside Sandboxie, the google search is working fine, since I unchecked URL advisor and the monitoring of encrypted connections from Kaspersky settings. Inside Sandboxie-though- I keep getting messages like the one in the opening post- and I do not think that importing a certificate would help. The massages are from Kaspersky, not firefox and, as I said, outside sandboxie firefox and google are fine. Paypal has also the same problem and it is interesting that the site advisor seems to be on inside sandboxie, as indicated by the little green kasperksy icons in the google results, despite that I disabled it and it is not active in the non-sandboxed firefox.
Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
That looks to me like perhaps you need to delete your sandbox.VivaDalifa wrote:......it is interesting that the site advisor seems to be on inside sandboxie, as indicated by the little green kasperksy icons in the google results, despite that I disabled it and it is not active in the non-sandboxed firefox.

Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
The sandbox contents are set to delete automatically every time I exit the sandboxed firefox. I also completely uninstalled sandboxie and installed it again. Same problem again. Do you mean to delete the sandbox itself-in my case the Default Sandbox- and create a new one?
Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
Hi,
No, Bo meant to say to delete contents of the sandbox already in use. Not to remove sandbox and create a new one.

Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
Well, this happens automatically every time I exit the sandboxed browser and the little red dots in the sandboxed icon get erased. This is indeed deleting the sandbox and its contents, is it not? The sandboxed browser is supposed to accept the changes in firefox and kaspersky that occurred outside sandboxie, but the changes I made are not happening inside the sandboxed firefox. Kaspersky doen not scan encrypted connections- as I asked it not to- in the non sandboxed firefox, but it scans them inside sandboxie and pesters me with messages like the one appearing in the first post. Also, the url advisor does not check google search results-as I disabled it in the Kaspersky settings- in the non-sandboxed firefox but it does check them in the sandboxed browser. So, everything is fine outside sandboxie and these problems occur only with the sandboxed browser.
Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
No, the red dots are to indicate programs or processes still running inside the sandbox.VivaDalifa wrote:Well, this happens automatically every time I exit the sandboxed browser and the little red dots in the sandboxed icon get erased. Please try the latest beta available to see if it works:

Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
In the Delete Invocation settings of sandboxie, the delete contents of sandboxie automatically is checked, so the red dots being erased means that all the contents of the sandboxie are deleted every time I exit the sandboxed firefox browser. Unless there is way to delete the contents more thoroughly, I do not think this where the problem is.
Re: Problems with KIS2015 and Sandboxie 4.14
I have several sandboxes and two of them are set to not delete automatically when a program terminates, and the red dots are gone!VivaDalifa wrote:In the Delete Invocation settings of sandboxie, the delete contents of sandboxie automatically is checked, so the red dots being erased means that all the contents of the sandboxie are deleted every time I exit the sandboxed firefox browser.
