Slim Browser doesn't work with Sandboxie

Post by searchlight4759 » Thu Apr 28, 2011 2:30 pm

I want to use Slim Browser, the IE 8 replacement with Sandboxie.

When I use Sandboxie with Slim Browser, all the configuration changes I made in Slim Browser including use of Roboform, revert back to default settings including Roboform toolbar not appearing.

How do I configure Sandboxie so that I can use Slim Browser?

Thanks.

Not that I'm checking, but so far your previous messages have said that you use IE, Chrome, Dragon, Iron, and now Slim Browser.
All I was looking for was your Windows version.

Is your Slim Browser profile folder located at:
%AppData%\SlimBrowser
The last time I looked, it appeared to save it's settings, AutoLogin info, and Web Emails there - although I don't remember what it is doing with "Web Emails".
You could set the "SlimBrowser" folder for Direct File Access, by sbrowser.exe

The last time I checked:
It used the IE %FAVORITES% folder for bookmarks.
It used the IE %COOKIES% folder for cookies.
I guess you could set those folders as Recover Folders, but it might be better to set them for Direct File Access, by sbrowser.exe

P.S. Does the template for Roboform show as installed?
Maybe in Sandbox Settings > Applications > Security/Privacy

I install, use, and uninstall whatever browser is most useful to me.

Depending upon the version, what is efficient today, can be inefficient by tomorrow.

All I was looking for is how to set up Sandboxie so that I can use SlimBrowser.

Your instructions helped, thanks.
