[.02] Error message with IE9

Post by Curious » Tue Feb 19, 2013 12:35 am

For the past few months, I have been receiving an error message with Sandboxie and IE9. Since I was surfing the web on Firefox, I really wasn't too bothered by the error message. There are a few things I can't do easily with Firefox that I use IE9 in its stead so I decided to ask for help with this error message. IE9 still runs sandboxed, but I was wondering what I can do to stop these error messages. The error copied from the clipboard reads:

SBIE1151 Cannot handle instruction FF1E753E: D9,89,54,24,40,4C,89,44,24,48,83,64
SBIE2303 Could not hook ChangeServiceConfig2W (2)
SBIE2318 DLL initialization failed for 'sechost.dll'
SBIE1151 Cannot handle instruction 7711F87E: 3E,FF,FF,FF,48,83,C4,38,C3,90,90,90
SBIE2303 Could not hook SetWindowsHookExW (2)
SBIE2318 DLL initialization failed for 'user32.dll'
SBIE1151 Cannot handle instruction FF1E753E: D9,89,54,24,40,4C,89,44,24,48,83,64

Thanks for the help. My information is below:

Sandboxie 3.76 64 bit edition
64 bit IE 9 version: 9.0.13
Windows 7

Sorry for the inconvenience. This is due to a minor incompatibility with avast. More here:

I will have a proper fix for this in the next version, until then you can use the workaround described in that other forum topic.

The incompatibility with avast should be fixed in version 4.01.02.

Thanks. Should I install the beta or wait for the final version? Is the final version almost ready?

I think the beta might still be a bit quirky. If you want to keep using version 3.76 for now,
you can use the workaround for avast that was discussed in the other topic.
