I am having a problem with the Immediate Recovery function when downloading a .zip file.
I wanted to download a .zip file that I had already downloaded before. First I noticed that the Immediate Recovery window did not appear and after a while even the sandboxie control gets terminated.
After some investigation I discovered it has something to do with the file name you want to download. If there is a minus sign '-' in the file name then the Immediate Recovery window does not appear anymore.
The problem occurs when I follow these steps below:
- Download a .zip file , for example download emdb.zip from http://www.emdb.eu/
- Before saving the file change the file name to emdb-.zip
- After download complete, let sandboxie recover the file
- Download the file again and also change the file name to emdb-.zip
- After downloading you will notice that the Immediate Recovery window does not appear
- Wait for approxmitly 60 seconds
- Download the .zip file and change the file name to emdb-.zip once more and the sandboxie control is terminated.

System:
Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Sandboxie 5.05.2 64 bit (registered)
Firefox 41.0.2

Sandboxie does not block any injection within the sandbox.

When SBIE service is running Dxtory doesn't work properly - OSD is not displayed in games, FPS limiter probably doesn't work too. As soon as SBIE service is stopped, OSD starts working. Everything outside of SBIE. Dxtory 2.0.127 worked fine with 5.05.1, while Dxtory 2.0.133 for some reason fails with 5.05.1. I'll investigate this...

Yes, the rcpsss race issue may still happen, although it's more rare. It's more prevalent in Windows 10 and multi-core systems. This is a machine dependent error, and at this time not much can be done with that error as it has to do with hardware, parallel processing and timing. It's still being investigated, but a permant fix has not been found.

If you can post your hardware here and the software you are running by running this command in powershell:
Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_Product | Select-Object -Property Name > C:\Software\PCapps.txt

The pcapps.txt is the name of the file it will create. you can email that to support@sandboxie.com

Just stopped by to say thanks for this update! After updating Windows, the old version (5.04) crashed my system and left me with a defect NTFS file system :( So I am glad to hear about the fix!

Thanks, but SBIE would have no affect on your NTFS file system. The updates (or removal/roll back of them) can cause that issue.

The following error occured when starting Google Chrome:

System:

SBoxie 5.05.02
Win10 Pro (64)

Nyte, I think thats one message that can be hidden. I hide one like that and the sandboxed program still works fine. I dont use Chrome but if you close the message or hide it and Chrome still runs well, you can hide it.

There is a delay, kind of a glitch, between mouse clicks and response; between web pages loading and the ability to scroll; between the cursor leaving a link and the time it changes back to the standard cursor, between the stroke of a key and the time the character shows up in the text box. It's very bizarre and I'm not sure how else to explain it. I have none of these problems when Firefox is not sandboxed.

Hi all, i can confirm that i have the same problem, there is a sort of FF freezing sometimes, only when it's sandboxed. When i open a tab, or scrolling a page, or sometimes whern typing a text like this one, it can freezes for 1 second or 2. I thought it was a FF plugin problem, or profile problem, so i tried to clean profile by removing crap (old unnecessary files in profile folder), and freezes are less frequent, but still there. So i tried to create a new profile with FF command line -p but it was already freezing in the profiles window choosing box...
Just for info, i'm on W10 x64 Pro, with ESET SS 8.

I was experiencing the same problems. I pinned it down to the addon "uBlock Origin 1.2.1" I hope the devs can can have a look at it.
I know Sandboxie can't support all addons but I think there is an underlying problem as multiple users seem to have this problem (with different addons).
I am running Win10 x64, Firefox 41.0.2 and SB 5.05.2, I wasn't experiencing these issues with on Win7.

I dont use Ublock but I know a few SBIE users that are using it with no problem. Perhaps the issue between SBIE and Ublock that you are experiencing is due to a rule you are using. By the way, I use NoScript to block scripts and Adblock plus to block ads, I have been using this addons for many years, they works very well with SBIE. I never experienced any issue. You might like to try them instead of Ublock.

uBlock with FF 44.02 works fine with SBIE
