One thing I am wondering about is whether there is any reason to have Sandboxie Services starting when the operating system starts. When I read in the FAQ these instructions regarding how to use Sandboxie occassionally:
1. How to configure Sandboxie for only an occasional use?
2. By default Sandboxie is configured to load and start automatically. To have Sandboxie load only when you need it, make the following changes.
3. [snip]
4. Starting Sandboxie Control will also start the service. (But note that Administrative rights are required to start a service.)
To me it sounds like I may as well leave it off until I really need to run it, and I can therefore save on system resources. Using it like this would not entail any extra work since all I need do is pin it to the start menu. So long as there is no difference in the level of protection doing this, I would prefer it. Then, when I have finished using it and don't expect to need it again for a while, I could simply kill the process, etc., in order to recover the resources. For my usage habits, I normally use it for an extended period and then I do not need it for an extended period because I don't usually start and stop the browser frequently or other program with which I use it.

The pen is mightier than the sword, but only if you get in the first stroke.
