nVidia drivers update v372.54 [DirectX]

Post by Craig@Invincea » Mon Aug 22, 2016 9:29 am

Currently, the newest nVidia drivers may not allow programs to run inside of the sandbox.

The work around is to disable by turning this off for now (GPU acceleration)
http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/ ... celeration [Then reboot]

The other option is to roll back the driver.

At this time, there is no ETA on a fix on the SBIE side. nVidia may update the driver product to that may fix the issue.

IF TURNING OFF THE PHYSX DOES NOT WORK, Please let us know what GPU card you are using.

I still have the same issue, after doing this trick, CSGO opens and then closes.I guess the only way to play it is via rollbacking drivers

If turning off hardware acceleration didn't work, then yes, a roll back is the only way if you want SBIE to function.

Just reporting that turning off Physx GPU acceleration didn't work for me so rolling back the driver is indeed the only solution right now.

Damn, would've surely bought the 40% off deal of Sandboxie license but I think I'll have to pass on it now that this problem is around and no guarantee if it will ever work again with newer drivers. :(

Unfortunately It may come down to nVidia and/or Microsoft. Can't say if it will or won't.
It has to be looked at and to make sure any possible fixes don't reduce the effectiveness of SBIE.
We're not even sure how many this affects.
We're not seeing it on the Commercial / Enterprise side with nVidia based cards at the moment, with SBIE or Invincea.

I have 980 Ti in SLI. I tried disabling Physx by setting it to CPU only, but the error still occurs.

Not yet. I will later though when I get out from work. I'll report the results here then.

Okay. I haven't had the time to test it myself so thanks for reporting that it still doesn't work.

Is this an issue with sandboxie or Nvidia?

No. Here's a new driver to test (372.90) but I wouldn't get my hopes up: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/gef ... nload.html
