Exclusions and Allowences for Files and Folders

Post by Ecoholics Anonymous » Sat Jun 12, 2010 8:27 am

So sorry if this has been requested before, but it kinda bothers me.

I would like to see the possibility for the exclusions and allowences of (dis)allowed (sub)folders and files.

Example:
In this folderstructure:
C:\1\
C:\1\2\
C:\1\3\
C:\1\4\5\
C:\1\4\6\

I would like to (dis)allow read/write/acces and whatevermore for main folder 1 and its subfolders 2 and 3, but have no such restrictions or allowences for subfolder 4 and its subfolders, like 5.

However, in the case of folderstructure C:\1\4\6\, I would like to see programs not being able to acces either 1 or 6, but being able to read from/write to/have general acces to folder 4.

That way, you will have more control over what programs are allowed to do and not.
I hope I wasn't too unclear, or have been asking a stupid question.

Thank you.

This has been requested before, but for various reasons I'm probably not going to implement this. You can try searching the forum for ClosedFilePath to find more discussion on the subject.

Ok, thank you anyway.

And thank you for the pointer. I shall look into that a little later.
