Can a sandboxed program write outside of sandboxie ?[SOLVED]

Hello,

I've been trying to install Dropbox inside a dedicated sandbox but the Dropbox folder is always created in the default path (C:/Users/USER/) outside of Sandboxie.
Is it normal ? I thought Sandboxie was supposed to keep everything inside its folder, and prevent any writing/modification outside.

Sandboxed programs can only write outside of the sandbox if you allow it in the options. You need to right click the dropbox installer and then choose "Run Sandboxed" in order to install directly into a sandbox.

I have no experience with sandboxed dropbox so can't guarantee it works without crashing, but even if it's not currently compatible the installer should never be able to write outside of the sandbox if you selected "Run Sandboxed".

I just installed Dropbox inside SBIE and it created the folders inside the Sandbox.
What are you seeing exactly? Have you ever installed Dropbox outside Sandboxie on that computer? (Maybe this is an old folder from a previous installation?).

Sorry, I tried to install Dropbox again, and it's working fine. It's just me being stupid.
I thought it was creating the dropbox folder outside the sandbox because it launches the file explorer (inside sandboxie) at the end of the installation process and it displays the dropbox folder inside my user folder (while it is in the sandbox folder).
Well I don't know if I made myself clear but I'm just new to sandboxie and I'm happy to see that I was wrong because this software is really nice
